After the booming Indian startup scene, a number of ASEAN countries are now gearing up to attract entrepreneurs and stimulate the creation and growth of startups. Srividya Gopalakrishnan, CVA, MRICS - Managing Director, Duff & Phelps Singapore

Srividya is the managing director of Duff & Phelps Singapore Pte Ltd. She set up American Appraisal Singapore operations in 2012, which later got acquired by Duff & Phelps, the largest global independent valuation advisory firm.
She has about 22 years of experience in valuations, transactions and management consulting. She has advised numerous companies on valuations for the purposes of financial reporting, transaction, restructuring, taxation, dispute resolution and financing. She is a member of the Institute of Valuers & Appraisers of Singapore (IVAS) Council as well as the IVAS Professional Development Committee. She chairs their Advocacy & Engagement Committee. She is a member of the global Regulatory Board of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). She is also an empaneled valuer with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) for their IP Financing Scheme.

Raul Nicolas Tomas - Director, Grant Thornton Indonesia

Seasoned consultant, with extensive experience not just in years of service but also in the types of services to clients, in country experience and sectors.

Main areas of experience are transaction services, valuation, corporate finance, market analysis, enterprise risk management and internal audit-related engagements. Have worked in four countries: Philippines, United States, Indonesia and Vietnam. Have worked in the academe, the government and the private sector.

Reshmi Khurana - Managing Director & Head, Kroll South East Asia

Reshmi Khurana is managing director and head of Southeast Asia in Kroll, based in Singapore. She has more than 17 years of experience in the U.S., South Asia and South East Asia conducting complex corruption investigations, litigation support and due diligence on the management, operations and business models of organizations.

Her experience includes helping clients identify and bridge gaps in internal controls and corporate governance through people, processes and technology. Reshmi advises a wide range of clients, such as asset management companies and banks; corporations in the mining, oil and gas, consumer packaged goods, retail, and pharmaceutical industries; and law firms.

Eddi Danusaputro - CEO – Mandiri Capital Indonesia

Eddi is Chief Executive Officer of Mandiri Capital Indonesia (MCI), the corporate venture capital subsidiary of PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. MCI aims to provide equity funding for regional start-ups, with focus on the fintech sector.

Eddi has more than 20 years’ working experience in various sectors, including financial services (at Morgan Stanley, AXA, and Makara Capital), management consulting (at AT Kearney and Booz Allen Hamilton) and consumer goods (at Procter & Gamble), whereby the majority of his work experience was in Singapore.

B. Sridhar Rao - Managing Partner - Truscel Capital

Rao has more than 20 years of Expertise in valuations, M&A, corporate finance and management consulting. He has advised numerous companies on valuations and has led more than 500 M&A transactions for the purposes of of Restructuring, Taxation, Financial Reporting, Dispute Resolution, Liquidation and Fund Raising. He is the Founder of TRUSCELCAPITAL, a Merger & Acquisition Advisory Firm. Prior to establishing TRUSCEL, Rao held leading positions in advisory firms such as Arthur Andersen, UBS, Deloitte. He earned his Master of Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management, Philippines in 1995 and Master of Commerce from the Bangalore University, India in 1991. He has in-depth knowledge in valuations with specific trainings such as “Equity Valuation of Strategies and Methodologies” conducted by the New York Society of Security Analysts in New York City, “Equity Valuations in Volatile Markets” conducted by the London School of Economics and “General Management Program” conducted by the National University of Singapore.

    Richard Eu was appointed to the board as Chairman of the EYSI board on 1st of October 2017. He is the founder of Lares Loreno Private Capital, a Singapore-based firm providing advisory and corporate finance services to small and medium-sized enterprises, family businesses and private equity investors. Rick is also a director with Fortress Group, a US-based fund placement agent and oversees their fund placement operations in Asia. Previously, Rick was a Vice President at Deutsche Bank in their Consumer Products and Retail Coverage Group in New York where he called on and worked with corporate and private equity clients globally. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Rick split his time between Merrill Lynch’s Consumer Products Group in New York and their Internet Technology Group in Silicon Valley, California where he led their Internet E-commerce investment banking group, raising capital and providing strategic advisory for companies looking to monetize or expand their existing internet businesses. ‌
